What stands out — and the tradeoffs
The battery is the defining feature. A 10,000mAh pack can materially reduce charging frequency for heavy users, while 27W reverse charging makes the phone more useful as an emergency power source. Xiaomi’s multi-day runtime figures are manufacturer laboratory claims, however, and real endurance will vary with network conditions, brightness, refresh rate, gaming and camera use.
The durability package is unusually broad for this class, but water-resistance ratings are not a promise against every form of liquid damage. At 229.5g, the phone is also relatively heavy. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 should be evaluated as an upper-midrange platform rather than assumed to match flagship silicon solely because the rest of the hardware is ambitious.
Software support
At the Indonesian launch, Xiaomi said the phone would receive four major operating-system upgrades and six years of security updates. That long support window is useful, but update timing can vary by market and carrier.
How much is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Indonesia?
The official RRP is Rp7,499,000 for 8GB/256GB and Rp8,499,000 for 8GB/512GB. Launch promotions can temporarily reduce those prices.
Does it really have a 10,000mAh battery?
Yes. Xiaomi Indonesia lists a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery for the Indonesian model, paired with 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W reverse charging.
When does it go on general sale?
General availability in Indonesia is scheduled for September 25, 2026, following the September 16–24 pre-order period.
Is it waterproof?
It carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. These ratings describe controlled test conditions and should not be interpreted as immunity to all water damage.
